Butterflies is a big go go bar on the top floor of Nana Plaza. Nana Plaza is of course located on Sukhumvit Soi 4, also called “Soi Nana,” in Bangkok. Butterflies and Billboard are owned by the same people and both are popular.
Like Billboard go go across the way, Butterflies is a very large bar. That means it never gets crowded even when it is filled with customers. That makes the bar a lot more comfortable than some of the others like Rainbow 5 where you can’t find a seat let alone move around on busy nights.
Butterflies has two stages in the middle of the floor and a large jacuzzi on the far left against the wall. The big tub has a bar with seats built around it so customers can sit and watch the naked women bathing in the bath while they enjoy their drinks.
There are lots and lots of women working at Butterflies. Most of them are from Isan but you there are many different looks. There are a few mature women, a few curvy women, some heavily tattooed women and a couple of 19 year olds just starting out in the business.
The bar fine at Butterflies is 700 Baht which is normal for Nana Plaza. There is a short time hotel right next to the bar. That seems to be the most popular option for dancers and punters who pay their bar fines.
