Same sex relations have long been accepted in Thailand. That’s especially true in Bangkok where the naughty nightlife certainly isn’t limited to the straight man and woman scene. Every variation can be found. That includes gay bars. Patpong is still one of the most popular areas for gay nightlife among both foreigners and local Thai guys. Bars and other gay entertainment venues can be found throughout Patpong but some of the best areas are Patpong Soi 2, Patpong Soi 4 and Soi Boy Town (Soi Pratuchai).
Soi Boy Town is where the gay go go bars are concentrated. There are all sorts of bars here ranging from the laid back to the raw and raunchy. There are also a few full service gay massage parlors and gay friendly restaurants and guesthouses.
Patpong Soi 2 and Patpong Soi 4 have more relaxed mainstream bars where gay Thais and gay guys from other parts of the world mix over drinks. Some of the bars have themes but the area is generally pretty tame.
