Rainbow 2 is one of the four rainbow go go bars in Nana Entertainment Plaza on Sukhumvit Soi 4. Rainbow 2 is located on the ground floor in the back corner. It is next to Obsessions ladyboy bar.
Rainbow 2 isn’t nearly as popular as Rainbow 5 upstairs. It does get its share of customers though. Of course as a Rainbow bar, most of the guys inside are Japanese. That doesn’t mean others aren’t welcome. There are usually some Western guys around too.
With less customers, Rainbow 2 doesn’t have that many dancers. Or maybe because it doesn’t have that many dancers it gets less customers. Anyway, there are about twenty women in total at the bar. They take turns dancing on the stage in groups of ten.
Oddly for a Nana Plaza go go bar, the outside area gets a lot of attention. It’s almost like a Soi Cowboy bar in that regard. Dancers sit outside when they’re not dancing and customers like to sit with them. It does give a good view of what’s going on in Nana Plaza, at least on the ground floor.
Drinks for customers are 165 Baht. That’s slightly more than what some Nana Plaza bars charge, but in line with the other Rainbow gogos. Apparently the place makes money. Why else would it stay in business? It’s definitely the quitest Rainbow bar though.
