Due to its location on Patpong Soi 2 opposite the Electric Blue and next to the Badabing go go bars, the Strand Inn is not an hotel where most people want to stay for a long period of time. However the hotel’s standards would definitely meet long stay requirements and they do offer daily and even weekly rates.
For the very short term the Strand Inn is perhaps the most expensive short time hotel in Bangkok with a standard rate of 600 baht for 3 hours. However the rooms are modern, nice, clean, large, comfortable and well decorated. If it wasn’t for the noise from the bars and the location, Strand Inn hotel would be perfectly suitable for a long stay.
It is completely different and much better than most of the other short time hotels in the Patpong area or in Nana Plaza. And they give you 3 hours instead of the usual 1 hour. If you are looking for a nice place and don’t want to have to watch the clock all the time to make sure you still have time ahead, Strand Inn is an option to consider. That is of course if you are in the Patpong area, or at least willing to go there.
